MIL applied for a 6 month's visa and was rejected: stating they are not satisfied that she will leave the UK.
She has a clean immigration history, has been in the UK 7 times and never overstayed. The previous visa was a 2-year visa. Idea was to apply a 6-month one so she can have a quick visit to a family wedding.
She has no intent to stay in the UK (She doesn't like the weather) but solid proof of her ties to the country would probably need to be beefed up, advice would be appreciated.
Family ties include a very ageing 90 odd-year-old (and well sparked) mother, sister, brother in law, 100's of families. She has land, property and strong ties. She hasn't had a problem with visiting before so it's really annoying, was hoping she would be here for NYEs
