Passport for newborn

Hi
My son born in uk and want to apply for passport. My husband is on ilr.so can we directly apply for British passport or need to fill mn1 form??

What documents need to send while applying for passport. Please guide me on this.

Provided that the date of birth of the child is on or after the date of grant of ILR.
