New born tier 2

Post by hamzapasha » Mon Dec 18, 2017 1:28 am

Could someone please post a link to the application form for Tier 2 dependant visa for children born in the UK?
I have tried searching on the page <https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/family-members> and the relevant paragraph mentions "Children born while you’re in the UK
If you have children while you’re in the UK, you can apply for permission for them to stay.
You must do this if you want to travel in and out of the UK with your child.
When you apply you must send a full UK birth certificate showing the names of both of your child’s parents.
" but I am unable to find the correct application form.
Many thanks

Did you miss the 'child' link in the page link you provided?

https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... dant-child
Dependants applying in the UK on their own
Your dependants can apply to extend or switch their visas to stay with you if they’re already in the UK.

Your family members can apply online if they’re your:

partner
child

Thanks for your reply. I did have a look at that earlier but it states "PBS Dependant - Child
Apply to extend or switch your visa or leave to remain as the child of a Tier 1, 2 or 5 worker or Tier 4 student"
Isn't this to EXTEND or SWITCH visa only as mentioned?
My understanding is that in my newborn child's case a fresh PBS dependant visa application is required.
Please correct me if I'm confusing this.
Regards

It is the correct form link I have provided as you are applying WITHIN the UK.

Brilliant. I have proceeded with the application. For evidence of maintenance I am assuming that I have to submit my own bank statements even though the application mentions submitting statements from a 'personal' bank account.

Just wanted to mention that I was not required to show evidence of maintenance in my most recent leave application.
Would it be relevant in relation to the following mentioned in the PBS dependant guidelines?
"65. If you apply separately from the main applicant you will need to have the necessary funds to meet
the maintenance requirement or have a written undertaking from an A-rated Sponsor, unless the
main applicant already had leave in a Tier 2 category and when applying for their most recent period of Tier 2
leave was not required to show evidence of satisfying maintenance requirements."

Thanks

Did you have to show maintenance in your recent application for your kid?? Iam in a similar situation and my last extension on country was not required to show maintenance funds..
