Hi everyone! My husband and I are currently on Tier 2 ICT Long Term visas, with different companies. My plan is the following:
1. Move from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 ICT dependent (under my husband’s visa).
2. Once I’m on Tier 2 ICT dependent visa, another employer (not my current one) is willing to hire me.
3. Can this other employer sponsor my Tier 2 General visa from Tier 2 ICT dependent visa?
4. Will I have to be on Tier 2 ICT dependent visa for a year before the other employer can sponsor my Tier 2 General visa?
Thank you in advance!!

3. Yes if all the requirements are met, including RLMT.
4. Yes a full 12 months and for tier 2 general you have to apply from home country.

Thanks for your prompt reply!
5. Do you have an estimate of how long it usually takes to switch to/apply for Tier 2 General from my home country?
6. Once I’m on Tier 2 General, my husband can then switch from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General Dependent, is that right?
Thank you once again!

It can take a couple of weeks or a couple of months.

Yes.

Hello again! A new option came up for my situation. Appreciate your advice again.
My husband and I are currently on Tier 2 ICT Long Term visas, with different companies. Is it possible to:
1. Move from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 ICT dependent (under my husband’s visa).
2. Once I have been on Tier 2 ICT dependent visa for a year, can my current employer sponsor my change in visa from Tier 2 ICT dependent visa to Tier 2 General visa?
3. If yes to number 2, will I have to apply from my home country?
Thank you!

1. Yes.
3. Yes if you/sponsor meet all the requirements including full and proper RLMT to prove you are not 'pre-selected' and if they are an approved Tier 2 General sponsor.
3. You can only apply from home country. A Tier 2 PBS Dependent is not able to switch within the UK.

Hi Aares,
Were you able to move from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 ICT dependent?
And if you did can you employer now sponsor you a tier 2 general visa?
Given that the new skills based policy will start to operate from Sep 2020.. Any thoughts that you provide will be very helpful.

Hello, sorry for the late reply! Yes, i was able to move from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 ICT dependent visa. I’ve been on the Tier 2 ICT dependent visa for more than a year now, so my current company is now in the process of checking with their immigration vendor what it would take to sponsor me under Tier 2. Once I move forward with the process, will share updates here.
Hope this helps!

Hello! After being on a Tier 2 ICT Dependent visa for 12 months, I have found a new company who has hired me and is willing to sponsor my Tier 2 General visa. I understand I would have to apply from my home country. Would anyone be able to advise if I still need to take the IELTS and Tuberculosis Screening?
Thank you!

IELTS for specific for UKVI or UK NARIC evaluation of your degree in red route (either IELTS or NARIC)
TB test not required. But no harm in submitting. (I submitted)

Thank you, SKJ1984! For the IELTS or NARIC, can it be done/taken here in the UK?
Thanks again!
