FLR (M) & BRP CARD

Post by MAH_CMMG » Thu Dec 21, 2017 2:21 pm

Hi, I have a quick question and was wondering if anyone can please help me out.

We recently applied for a FLR(m), we've received the BRP card but have not received the documents or a letter stating the decision.

We've been granted the Further leave to remain and in the Type of Permit it says, Spouse/Partner Leave to Remain.

My question is (apologies in advance if it sounds a little stupid) - I am just a little concerned as UKBA is putting people on a 10 year family route nowadays as well so just for ny peace of mind, I wanted to ask that with our type of permit granted, we are on the 5 year partner route and not 10 year famiy route?

Many thanks in advance.

Happy Christmas.

Not just for any reason or because they feel like it. HO only issue the 10 year partner route IF the applicant doesn't meet the requirements.

Thank you for your reply CR001 - Ofcourse I am not questioning HO's abilities to assess suitability :) - I just wanted to clarify that have we been put on the 10 year route as per our BRP card Permit type. I just want to clear this uncertainty :)

A spouse visa says what your BRP card says.
