MN1 along with AN forms

Post by back2uk2 » Fri Dec 01, 2017 1:37 pm

Hello,

My wife and I am going to apply for Naturalization based on 5 years. Also, I have a child born outside UK and having the ILR status same as us.
Can I apply for his registration as BC (using MN1) at the same time as us applying for Naturalisation ? Or do we need to wait till we parents are naturalized?

Thanks.

Family application - Combined AN & MN

Post by back2uk2 » Thu Dec 21, 2017 3:36 pm

Hello,

I am going to apply for naturalisation (AN) and also applying for registration (MN1) for my son.

Against a question in each of the form, I am a bit confused as the answer could be different.

On my application :-

Enter the day you first arrived with a view to staying in the UK on a long-term basis, and the airport or seaport through which you then entered.

This is Jan 2012 for me (which I mentioned previously too in my ILR application ).

On my son’s application :-

For an application for a child who was born abroad and who is now living in
the UK or a British overseas territory, say when they first arrived.

This is Jan 2008 for him but then we left UK for some time breaking the continuous residence and then arrived in Jan 2012.

So I am not sure whether to mention Jan 2008 or Jan 2012 in his application. If I mention Jan 2008, then this mismatch with what is mentioned in my application.

Could somebody please guide me.

Thanks.

January 2012 is perfect
