UK Ancestry visa - extension: finances

Post by Lsha3426 » Wed Dec 27, 2017 1:10 pm

Hey there everyone,

Sorry if i am posting this question in the wrong area. Could not figure out where to post.

My partner and I are renewing/extending out ancestry visa. I am his dependent. Upon renewal of our application do i need my birth certificate as a dependent? or is my passport sufficient? Initially when i became his dependent I only needed my passport and relevant supporting documents. Just thought we would check?

We have all other requirements on his side (i.e his grandparents birth certificates, mums birth certificates, his birth certificate etc).. but it seems as his dependent I only need passport and the other relevant supporting documents?

Thought we would check. Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Yes

You need to submit exactly the same as you did with your initial application.

Why are you not applying for indefinite leave to remain?
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Thank you so much for your speedy response.

My partner is a musical theatre performer and was touring in Germany for over 6 months and as such could not return at anytime until after the initial show installation period - depsite paying rent and taxes in the UK. That is why we were not eligible for ILR - or so we have been told. x
