Payslips & Bank Statements for Spouse Visa

I was just wondering if someone could help me.

Im looking to apply for a spouse visa for my wife.

Do my bank statements and payslips have to be from the last 6 months or can it be any period?

If you are a salaried employee, payslips and bank statements MUST be the most recent 6 months. The rules are quite clear on this. You cannot choose just any period.

Well then your post isn't clear as you have clearly already submitted an application and were refused. You would need to explain why you are asking about payslips and bank statements now if you are not planning on making a new application.

I am now looking to place a fresh application and wanted a clarification on payslips and bank statements, as I was bit unsure.

Most recent and it also depends on what basis you meet the financial requirement. PAYE requires less, self employed etc requires more.
