Tier 2 Dependent Visa

Post by arunmidturi » Mon Jan 08, 2018 10:36 am

Hi

My wife is on Tier 2 Dependent Visa and expires on feb 2018 , As some medical emergience she need to travel to india , but we dont know how much time it takes.

While she is in india , her visa Expires, and she might apply after couple months i.e Aug 2018, is it necessary to have continuity in the Visa , as she will apply for Tier 2 Dependent visa only .

As she eligible for ILR Next year , if She apply for Tier 2 dependent Visa in Aug 2018 , will it be counted for her ILR Application next year .

Thanks

If she does this, it will reset her clock to zero for ILR and she will need a new 5 years residence period before she qualifies for ILR.

While filling the ihs application it is asking my ILR visa expiry date (I.e 2024) if I gave the visa expiry date then it is showing 1400 pounds ,

How to change this . CAn you help me regarding this please.

1. Kindly note the big red text in my signature, I do not offer advice on PM.

2. A PBS extension is granted for 3 years, as the Immigration Rules clearly state. You CANNOT choose a lesser time and you MUST pay the IHS for 3 years.

3. She must apply alone. You could also work out 3 years on your ILR date and input that date for the correct amount or pay IHS on the IHS website directly to get the reference number and put the reference number in the form. Any over payment you make, i.e. the £1400, will likely result in a partial refund of the amount you have overpaid.
