Tier 2 general extension - Dependent

One of my friends is extending his Tier 2 general visa next week. Four months back his wife joined him from India on Tier 2 dependent visa and she will also be renewing her visa. Do they need to submit any evidence demonstrating that we live together or that we are married. When she applied the dependent visa from India, they have submitted our Indian marriage certificate, however, they are yet to register our marriage in UK. Do they need to submit utility/ council tax bill in our joint name to prove that they live together?

There is NO requirement to 'register' an overseas marriage in the UK.
