Two jobs. One is paid via cheque. Will this be an issue during Spouse visa application?

Post by raygor » Sat Jan 13, 2018 9:25 pm

Hi,

Quick question. I've got 2 jobs (to meet financial requirement). One is £9216 per year (paid into account-BACS) and the other job (second) is £10,000 per year (net amount paid via cheque).

Just concerned, as I'm getting paid via cheque from my second job, would this cause an issue for my wife's spouse visa application? My payslips states the payment method as "cheque". All of the correct amount of taxes and national insurance contribution are paid on time to HMRC.

Please let me know soon as I'm really nervous if the caseworker calls and suspect for no reason. I don't want to risk a refusal because of something like this. Many thanks. :)

No problem if your bank statements show the cheque payments.

Ok thanks. And does cheque number need to be mentioned on the payslips and in my bank statement?
