So not really a 'fiance' thenshe is a long term family friend
No it doe not.the only issue I have is my divorce in the uk is not done yet and going through court but that doesn't stop me from being with someone else really does it ?
It has very little to do with your circumstances and everything to do with her circumstances and ties to her home country. She has to provide evidence to prove her social, economic, job, property, family ties to her home country to convince the ECO that she is a 'genuine visitor' and will leave the UK.what maintenance critiria do i need to meet ?
Again, less about your financial standing and more about hers.I work and own a house so can tolorate all costs
This is exactly what will cast doubt on her leaving the UK. You 'promising' she will means absolutely nothing. It is applicants doing exactly this, coming on a visitor visa, marrying and then simply staying which has made getting a visitor visa that much more difficult and applications scrutinised.inviting her to know her more and with the view of marriage but can promise she will leave the uk. I am not hiding anything , would that be ok ?
So girlfriend then.well i say fiance because been talking for little while and going toward that .
Marrying in the UK on a visitor visa is not permitted.well what is wrong with that ? she is not coming here to do anything illegal
Only if you have the right visa to get married (there are two specific types). If you love someone and legitimately get married?
An ECO could very well make the assumption that she is only seeking entry to the UK to marry and attempt to stay if you state about marriage in support of a visitor visa application.I want to get to live with her for little while and then once I am sure then apply for marriage visa .
what other ways do I have ?
Why would you think you couldn't?? You can marry abroad without restriction (provided you are not already married and if divorced have the evidence to prove it). The financial requirement is only for visa purposes so not related to simply getting married.as uk ilr holder , do i have the right to marry someone abroad as long as I meet the 18,600 requirement ?
