T2 Online Form/Maintenance

Hi All,

Just to be clear on the Maintenance funds, my understanding is, if I apply for T2 extension along with my 2 dependants I don't need to show any maintenance.

And if I apply now, I don't have to show any maintenance funds and apply dependants separately near to when their visa expire i.e Aug, I have to maintain £630*2 for 90 days, please can this be confirmed?

PS: Assuming no recent/upcoming changes in T2 policies, I have read about PBS dependent absences, and also there is no update on SOC codes either? Am i right?

There are big changes announced recently, on how HO now calculates 180 days absence, which appears that it can no longer be 'split into two 12 month periods'.

Hi All,

I was filling an online form for T2 extension, in the documents tab, it is prompting to select "Documents showing the required maintenance funds", I understand, for an extension it is not required? It won't either let me go further until i select any of the below options:


Type of document (Required)


*Statements from a personal bank or building society account


*Building society passbook


*Letter from a bank, building society or other recognised financial institution

Please comment.
