Looking for advice about tier 2 visa re personal savings.

Post by suemo38 » Sat Jan 20, 2018 1:16 am

Hi,

I have applied for the tier 2 visa on the UK and I am worried I am going to be rejected because I have not had the required savings for 90 days before my application date, although I have considerably more than the required amount for just about the required time. Does anyone know who I could contact to plead my case. I have spoken to the immigration help line about it but they have not been able to help. I am so frustrated as I have enough savings and employment. Also my husband is a british citizen and I missed out on the ancestry visa by only 1 year. If there's nothing I can do about my current application does anyone know about the process of reapplying ? Do I need to do the biometrics thing again? Do I have to wait for my passport to be sent back and send my documents again or is there any way to start a new application immediately? Any advice would be gratefully received, I was supposed to start work in early january and paid for the priority service but have been waiting for over a month.

What do you mean by this and missing out on the ancestry visa?

What is your UK immigration history??

Why have you not applied for a spouse visa if your husband is British?

Yeah, I can't get the spouse visa, because he works freelance and has been the main stay home parent for our daughter, so we don't have the proof of income required for him to sponsor me.
If I were born a year earlier, I'd be able to get the ancestry visa, which my 6 older siblings can get.
My mother was born in Zambia, my dad and grandparents were born in South Africa, I've been in New Zealand since I was three, so have New Zealand citizenship. My great grandparents are British.
