Tier 2 Dependent visa with main ILR application

Hi All

My ILR application is approaching, I just have one query if you can assist me?

My current Tier 2 General Visa expires on 27-04-2019
My wive's Tier 2 Visa expires on 27-04-2019

I am eligible for ILR in July 2018 by compleling 5 year of Tier 2
My wife will get eligible to apply for ILR in June 2020 by completing 5 year on Tier 2

When I apply for ILR in July 2018, do I also have to re-apply for my wife as a dependent of ILR applicant or her current visa of Tier 2 dependant will still be valid until 2019 and I just extend her visa as a dependent of ILR applicant in 2019?

I have also seen posts where people have recommended to apply for FLR (M) which will reset my wive’s 3 year continous period towards 5 year ILR. Do I have to apply for FLR(M) for my wife?

No you do not have to switch to ILR Dependent. She can continue on her PBS dependent visa and extend her PBS Dependent till she reaches the requirement for ILR.
