Long Residence (10 years) ILR but still have EEA2 RC

Post by Hassan7861 » Thu Jan 25, 2018 10:59 am

Dear admin
Just a small question.
Ive recently received my ILR. Before rhus i had EEA2 resident permit in the form of a sticker which is endorsed in my passport my EEA2 is still valid untill nov 2018. I just wana know whike i have ILR can i use my EEA2 resident permit to travel to europe without schengan visa . Or is it not valid for travel anymore because ive been granted ILR.
Thanks

I split your post to the Europe sub forum as it is not relevant for the ILR sub forum.

EEA residence rights are not lost by being granted leave to remain, whether limited or indefinite. Leave to remain is granted by the UK; EEA residence rights are mostly automatically acquired under rules laid down by the EU, though confusingly it seems that member states can be more generous. Thus the validity of a residence card is not affected by the grant of ILR.
