Confusion about 30-day travel window

Post by Ricogarilli » Fri Jan 26, 2018 8:58 am

I can’t seem to get a straight answer about this, so would love any info.

I’m in the process of my Tier 5 Youth Mobility Visa and I keep delaying my biometrics appointment as I don’t want to mess this all up.

My application form says my intended date of arrival is the 19th of March - which I put down before I booked my tickets. I’ve had to book tickets and my arrival date will actually be the 20th of March.

So my question is whether the 30-day travel window is going to be before the 19th, or from the 19th?
My other concern being that I travel to Thailand first on the 8th of March, so I can’t really wait too much longer to get the application sent off either.

Thank you for any help.

It is usually from the date you state in the form and if you stated 19th March, then that is the date it should be valid from. HO do however, often issue the vignette from date of decision, so you will need to check and if this does happen (not always) get it corrected before you travel.

You need to submit your passport so not sure when you plan to apply or if you have already applied.

There are currently members posting about long delays in getting their Tier 5 visas.
