Can someone let me know please if parents visitor visa can be extended post 6 months and can continue to stay with me. I am tier 2 general visa and my brother is on ICT work visa.

No chance and no law of any visitor visa extension. Send them back home before their visa expires. How long they intended to stay initially? What they mentioned in the visa application form?

We r all struggling to get visitor visa for our parents because some people change their plans and want
to stay longer than intended once they get the visitor visa. Which makes visitor visa tougher to get for other people.

For what purpose do you want to extend their visa?? Is it because 'they prefer it here' or is there a genuine reason?

How long have they already been in the UK and how long did they state in their application they were going to stay?

Cost £993 EACH to extend and you need compelling compassionate reasons to do so.
