Set (m) ILR Application - Financial confusion

Post by UKAUS65 » Mon Jan 29, 2018 9:02 am

Hi there,

My wife and I have her ILR appointment end of next month in Belfast and I just had a couple of questions regarding how we record down our respective incomes. In the past, on the flr(m) applications it has been fairly straightforward in that I was self-employed and my wife full time employed.

However, both our circumstances have changed in the last 2.5 years. I am the Director/employee of my company, my wife is now self-employed but has only been so for 5 months, before that she was temping, and prior to that worked for my company and another one before that.

From what we can see you can only select to use either income from employment or self-employment, and if self-employed you need to provide accounts for last two financial periods, which she wasn't self-employed.

I can't find any guidance on my to record her income correctly, and how to combine with mine. We have read the guidance notes online and both came away with headaches!

Combined we both earn over the threshold, but how we record that is not clear to us I'm afraid
