Hi,
I've got a few questions about my husband's Tier2 PBS Dependant status in light of my ILR application
I will apply for an ILR this 11Nov2018, exactly five years after my first Tier2-General visa. Mine is pretty straightforward (meets salary requirement, <180 days, continuous residence etc) so there's no problem. I have a couple of questions on my husband's status, however. He has the following details below:
a) First Tier2 PBS Dependant Visa: 23/12/14 to 20/01/17
b) Arrived in the UK: 13/01/15
c) Current Tier2 PBS Dependant Visa: 18/12/16 to 29/10/19
We both would like for him to also apply for an ILR at the "fastest" time possible. Keeping this in mind, I would greatly appreciate help with the following questions:
1) Is his current Tier2 PBS Dependant valid until Oct'19 even if I switch to an ILR this Nov'18?
2) Does he have to apply with me this 11Nov2018? (PBS Dependant visa extension? ILR visa dependant?)
3) I am aware that his count towards an ILR "resets" if he applies as my ILR Dependant this Nov'18. Is it correct to assume (if #1 is a yes) that he can extend his PBS dependant visa (even if I will already be under an ILR visa) on Oct'19, then apply for ILR after he meets the five year requirement?
4) When do we start to count his five year ILR requirement? On the visa (23/12/14) or when he arrived in the UK? (13/01/15)
Any links would be greatly appreciated and thanks again for all the help!
