British Citizenship eligibilty

Post by Aarav2015 » Sun Feb 04, 2018 9:45 am

Hi ,

My Wife got ILR in 2015 January and she went India to delivery baby and she didn't come back until a year. Am looking to apply for citizenship -- but due to her absence of 1year I can't apply. Me and My son both are british citizens.

Is she eligible to apply now?

Thanks
Lingesh

To qualify, she must have absences of less than 270 days in the 3 years immediately before applying and no more than 90 days in the last 12 months.

If she does not meet that requirement, then she likely will not qualify.

She must also have been physically present in the UK 3 years ago on the exact date that she does apply for BC.
