Child Benefit- ILR application query

Hi Experts,

I have received my ILR in May 2017 and my wife is supposed to apply for an ILR in Feb 2018. However, after receipt of my ILR, we applied for child benefit and have been receiving it ever since. Recently, I have sent a request to cancel it.
My question: Will the child benefit that we received since June 2017, affect my wife's ILR application? If yes, how can we mitigate the impact?

There was no need to cancel child benefit. As you hold ILR, you are ENTITLED to claim in your name and this has NO effect on your spouses ILR application.
