Tier 2 ICT Dependent to Tier 2 General

Hi,

I am currently working in UK on ICT Tier 2 Dependent Visa. I am working for a company that have a license to sponsor Tier 2 visa. We are in a situation where my spouse (the main ICT Visa holder) might be transferred to US and thus, I want to explore getting a Visa changed within my company.

Before I approach my company, I would like to know
- What are the the steps involved to convert from ICT Dependent to Tier2 General.
- What kind of support does my current employer has to provide in this - Apart from giving the CoS.

- What are the the steps involved to convert from ICT Dependent to Tier2 General.

Your sponsor will need to complete the full and proper RLMT process to prove you are not 'pre-selected'. This must be done before they can issue a CoS. You must apply from home and meet all the standard tier 2 general requirements. You will have to pay the visa fee and the Immigration Health Surcharge.

- What kind of support does my current employer has to provide in this - Apart from giving the CoS.

They will know what is required. Not sure if they will need to pay the immigration skills charge or not.
