Tier1 Dependant surname change

Hi Friends

Please help me. (URGENT friends!!)

My wife is in Tier1 Dependant and we recently changed her surname to mine in the passport and she traveled to India...
My friends told me that she should not travel without changing the surname in BRP too, Can you guys advise what needs to be done here please?

She has 3 months to change her BRP.

You should have waited till she returned to do the name change in passport.

To return, she should then travel with marriage cert to prove maiden/married name change.

She cannot change her BRP card in India.
