Spouse ID Card and Passport

Post by AL1982 » Fri Jan 26, 2018 8:40 pm

Hi

I am a British Citizen living in UK whilst my partner lives in Pakistan. We recently got married and my wife decided to keep her family name as adopting mine did not sound right / fluent.

We have not started a VISA application as of yet. This is due to a friend mentioning a requirement for my Spouse's ID Card and Passport to have the same surname as mine. I was not aware of this rule and cannot find it anyone within the written guidelines.

Could someone familiar with requirements please advise?

Further, what impact would it have on the remaining documents?

Presently my wife's ID Card, Passport, Marriage Certificate, TB Test Cert' and IELTS Test Cert are all created to her family name.

whats your friend occupation who is giving you such a foolish advise??? ignore him/her.

HO do not care about the name but to keep the application smooth the name on all documents such as application form, passport, marriage certificate, tb test, english test etc. must be same.

Thanks for confirming seagul.

I do have another query.

On my wife's ID card, there is a section labelled 'Fathers Name' under which it does have her fathers full name. Does this section need to be changed to include 'Husbands Name' with my full name being placed under?

Would they require your spouse ID card for visa purposes?

National id card is not required for visa purposes. However if you still wish can amend your name on it through nadra. And only for that purpose don't delay your spouse visa application.

Thanks both. Almost ready to submit application.

Q) Does the Land Registry Title Deeds (showing property owner) need to be dated within the last 28 days? Presently have a copy from 4th December.

Based on common sense it should be fine but still as a precaution try to keep it in 28 days so that caseworker has no room to refuse on that reason.

Skype History Missing - Visa Communication

Post by AL1982 » Tue Feb 13, 2018 9:54 pm

Hi.

I've got an issue in which my skype history, following an update, has been completely wiped. I've tried different methods to recover this but have had no luck. My partner doesn't have the history either as she doesn't have IM seetings set to save.

I therefore cannot screenshot a conversation for evidence.

Can anyone suggest what to do? Should I add an extra letter with the visa supporting documents stating what has happened?

Note: I do have my whatsapp history which I have already printed, however on the online application form which (has already been submitted), I have mentioned I used both whatsapp and skype.

I hope you mean wife and not partner because a marriage certificate itself is a proof of relationship too but if she is a partner you wont have that.

Skype, whatsApp etc are all forms of communication. They look at the whole picture, so if you have some proof you can write on cover letter about it being lost.

Hi.

Yes, I mean wife and we do have a marriage certificate.

My query is regarding showing evidence of communication as I mentioned in the online application that we use whatsapp and skype. However I cant recover Skype data. I just hope they will accept the WhatsApp evidence alone.

Apart of these the passport stamps & tickets visiting your partner, money transfer receipts, sending gifts/cards receipts, family gathering pictures, phone call record all these can be added too.

Don worry too much about Skype. You can state Skype logs unrecoverable. Skype etc can easily be faked anyway so in any case Proof of physical visits etc as mentioned have better weighing so provide them. InshaAllah application goes well for you and you get a positive outcome.

Some of the Skype history information remains on your PC. Although the video history has been deleted, the chat message/history remains. Use the freeware tool SkypeLogView to extract the chat history from your PC as evidence. Hope this helps.

Thanks all. That's reassuring.

I do have call logs, other chat messages as well as money transfer and visit stamps. Just not Skype history.
