Tier2 Dependent Extension - Short Question

Post by apsisher1983 » Tue Feb 20, 2018 8:47 pm

Hi All,
I will be applying for ILR - premium service and after that my wife will be applying for PbS-dependent.
As to receive ILR card may take a week or so, can my wife still apply for PBS dependent-Extension based on the confirmation letter from home office ?

Appreciate if you could advise.

HO has your record and information so they can check their system to verify your status.

For Info, the letter you get at your ILR PSC appointments does not state 'Your ILR is approved'. It merely states you will receive a BRP card within x days.

When does your wife's visa expire and what date is your ILR appointment?

Thanks CR001 for the response.

My ILR appointment is on 10th March and my wife visa expires 5th April.

I have asked this query as I need to apply for my baby who is one year old and hasn't applied for Indian passport yet. As I understand MN1 application could take between 1-2 months to process.

I am planning to apply for my wife visa as early as possible, please advise as stated my situation above.

Are you applying for your wife by post?

Apply for baby MN1 through NCS or NDRS with the online form, as you then get to keep your ILR BRP card with you.

You can book separate appointments for both of you on the same day, hers a couple of hours after yours.

I don't understand your fixation about having your BRP card??

makes sense. I was under the impression that BRP card to be required for applying my wife application.

Thank you for your valuable input, Much appreciated.
