Tier-2 ICT dependent to Tier-4

Post by SKA2018 » Tue Feb 20, 2018 9:56 pm

Hi All
My wife willing to study Ph.D in anyone of the London University. As she is currently holding ICT Tier-2 dependent visa would like to know the below:

1. Is she can apply and study directly
2. Does she requires tier-4 visa
3. If we want to switch her into tier-4 visa what is the process
4. If she converted to tier-4 is she will eligible for ILR
5. As a non-EEA candidate do we need to undergo any special process

Thanks

1. Is she can apply and study directly
Yes
2. Does she requires tier-4 visa
No.
3. If we want to switch her into tier-4 visa what is the process
Apply from home country once she has been accepted and has received a CAS. https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/ ... -this-visa
4. If she converted to tier-4 is she will eligible for ILR
No, not on the basis of 5 years residence. Student visas do not count towards ILR for 5 years ILR. It only counts for 10 years long residence.
5. As a non-EEA candidate do we need to undergo any special process
Apply for a visa, maintain funds before applying and pay your course fees at international student rate. Speak to your university.
