Change of name as part of visa extension application

Hi Everyone,

Please can someone help with this query. My wife will be looking to put in her application for extension of her PBS visa soon, and I was wondering if at the time she applies she can change her maiden name to my surname.

She currently has her maiden name on her PSB card and international passport, and has not done official change of name.

Would Home Office need to see her international passport reflecting her change of name before her PBS extension can be done under my surname?
