Salary threshold Confusion

Post by Tier2_to_ILR » Thu Feb 22, 2018 2:51 pm

I was in 31k
My employer gave pay rise everyone. I got extra 1k. And now in 32k
I gonna ask 4k more for myself this month which they can afford and they will agree to increase instantly
Problem is I'm eliglible for ILR in April. I spoke to my solicitor regarding starting process
He thinks last minute pay rise may affect application as UKBA may think its for faciliating ILR

Is that true and is thats how it works ?
I donno about this , I may asked them more before. I'm bit worried

Yes, HO is very aware of ILR applicants from Tier 2 suddenly getting very large increases to meet the ILR threshold. It will likely put your ILR application on hold and trigger an investigation with your sponsor if you are the only employee getting a substantial increase so soon after the usual annual increases for everyone.

Thanks for your reply

I have 1 to 1 meeting tomorrow, to asses my performance .. i'm gonna demand pay rise. I hope they will agree .. Anyways they will notify UKBA about the pay rise and the reason.
I may wait for another two months to take atleast two payslips. Do you think this sounds good ?
Much appreciated for help

It could still raise a red flag with HO.

Oh great idea to 'demand pay rise'. What if they tell you 'there is the door, find another job, goodbye'??

99% they wont 1% if they kick me out. Not a problem, Im getting calls for 45k since 6 months. Thought to settle ILR and move.
I also a another doubt if take a new job , with that CoS can apply ILR straight away, or obtain another Tier-G permit and then switch

You have to apply for a new Tier 2 visa with a new sponsor. A CoS is not a visa.
