any news on recent tier2 incountry extensions ?

Hi Guys,
I saw this news today and feel a bit worried as i have applied for the tier 2 visa extension like 3 weeks back ....i have been in the country already for 4 years in the same status ..now feel worried because of the news ...has anyone heard about the visa extensions getting refused recently ?

The job i am applying is in shortage occupation list with salary of slightly above 55 k ...should i be worried at all ?
Also , is there any priority for the visa extensions for the people who are already in the country than someone coming new ?
Also , just incase the visa gets refused what are other possibilities for me incase that happens ?..just want to check

They are talking about restricted COS, and you will need unrestricted CoS, so technically it's irrelevant to you

Ah ok...does shortage occupation cos come under unrestricted cos...?

Sorry ...i spoke too soon looks like both incountry extension and the job on shortage occupation list come under un restricted cos...as explained here.
