Dear all,
Last week, my niece, her husband and their almost 3 year old son’s family visit visa was refused on the grounds of lack of strong social and economic ties. My niece is unemployed since the birth of her son as she’s on a career break and her husband has started a new job since 1st of February 2018. Prior to this, he was working at a small firm where he would get paid in cash. We know that we cannot change the employment side of things, however, we are considering to reapply this week. This time, however, only for my niece and their son as we believe that apart from submitting property documents of their parents (niece and her husband’s), the actual fact that he will not be able to visit us on this occasion unfortunately will be sufficient to prove that my niece and her son intend to travel back at the end of their 2.5 months visit.
Questions I would like help with are:
1. Is it wise to reapply this time only for my niece and her son?
2. As she’s unemployed would we still need to resubmit their bank statements (niece and husband’s)?
3. Her mother and his parents and brother are in India, so will providing property documents registered to them prove strong ties? (My niece and her husband do not have any property register to their names)
4. Will providing a solemn declaration in the presence of a solicitor help where it will state that I take complete responsibility that they return back within the 6 months time?
Please do help me out and let me know how can I make the application stronger this time around please. The purpose of their visit was because they had never visited the UK before and now we thought would be a good time as we wanted them to be a part of the celebration of the birth of my elder daughter’s second child due end of March.
Thank you ever so much, appreciate all the help and advice.
