Start of Cooling off_Day of Exit or Date on which intimation to Home Office?

Hello Dear Experts,
Please be noted that i have returned to my home country on 5th of May 2017. I have proofs of exiting UK(like Passport stamping, flight tickets etc). Due to some issues, my company mobility department intimated about my return on 25h May 2017.

Does my cooling off start from 5th of May 2017(UK Exit date) or 25th of May 2017(Day on which Home office was informed)?

Kindly confirm.
