Tier 2 general visa extension

Hi.
My query is. I came to uk in 2013 on three years visa but my company was closed and my visa was curtailed after 17 months in the job. and then I applied for a new tier 2 visa for a new job. I am currently working on my second tier 2 visa. Which will expire this year but in the same month of expiry I will be completing 5 years in the UK. I am looking to apply for extension. Will I be able to get the extension this time as I have not spent 6 years yet.
Please answer my question.

Yes, up to a maximum of 6 years in total on tier 2.
