BC Referees!

Post by hamalt66 » Sun Mar 11, 2018 3:15 pm

We're a family of six, two adults and four children. We're not applying for Citizenship just yet but I wanted to get an idea for the future, as I've learned from my previous experiences that it's best to find out about requirements as early as possible.

My questions here are about Referees...

My understanding is that when applying for British Citizenship, one should provide two referees and I have two questions if anyone here can help:

1) can the two persons who have known us for 3 years be referees for all the six of us, or do we need to provide two for each applicant? I mean will we need to find 12 referees for our application?

2) I don't know how the referee form look like, so should we just provide the names and addresses of the referees and HO will contact them or should we provide a written statement/letter from each referee?

1. You can use the same referees as long as they meet the requirements.

2. I suggest look at the paper AN and MN1 form to get an idea of what it looks like and information the referees are required to complete
