Applying for a British passport. PLEASE, HELP.

Hello fellows,
I’m on a permanent residnt card now. So I have waited 15months and now want to apply for the passport. I decided to do it trough my council here in westminster,so I can keep my original docs. My doubts are;
1_ Can i do the english test BEFORE starting my a-plication?
2- can i eo the life in the uk test before i start my application?
3_ do i have to be employed to apply? Someone said that, but that’s weird....no one can force no one to work. I am not working because se as soon as my application starts, i will go to out of the country on hollidays till it is time to come back for the ceremony. Please guys, gimme some help!1 i really appreciate it!/

You MUST do it BEFORE you apply. You are required to submit evidence of meeting this requirement, i.e. the SELTS IELTS certificate.

You MUST do it BEFORE you apply. You are required to submit evidence of meeting this requirement, i.e. the test pass letter.

Not sure what you mean by 'employ someone'. Perhaps you misunderstood whatever 'someone' was saying.

Someone said a person has to be working in order to qualify for naturalization. It sounds weird. So I want to double check it. I had a friend holding PR who had only worked in the uk for 6 months, and he lived 8 years here. And he got naturalised and have a britt passport. his wife worked the full 8 years, as eea. But he never did. So....do i need to be working? I don’t think so, but wanna double check it

So, when talking to national checking service guy, just answer “unemployed’ and write down unemployed in the form? Those are my final doubts. How about referees? What’s that????/

You need to complete the form BEFORE you go to NCS. They don't do it for you.

IF you are unemployed, then that is what you write.

Have you read the Form AN guidance notes and booklet at all???

It tells you who and what can be your referee!!!

With the level of unfriendliness in this country, that will be a hard one to get. So, can ANYONE tell me what’s that? I’m not literate on immigration affairs, and that’s why we’re here asking. The AN booklet which CR001 has respectfully suggested you read, would explain the following:
The referee must:
have known the (adult) applicant for at least 3 years
•
be a British passport holder and either a professional person or aged over 25 (at
least one referee must be a professional person)
•
The referee must not be related to the applicant or the other referee
•
be the applicant’s representative
•
be employed by the Home Office
•
have been convicted of an imprisonable offence in the last 10 years for which the sentence is not spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974

What is rude in what she said. For someone that is not literate in Immigration issues and needs help from people that you do not know and reading the intonation of your comments, I think you are pretty rude and arrogant too.

Try and give a little respect to those trying to help or you could just go and look for an Immigration lawyer to sort you out.
