Tier 2 Dependent visa and rent agreement

Post by rav40 » Mon Mar 12, 2018 9:06 pm

Dear members and moderators,

I am currently in UK on a their 2 general visa (from Feb 2018)

My wife and two children will apply for a dependent visa in May

I am currently living in a one room accommodation.

My queries are as follows:

1. When do I need to change my accommodation to a bigger one

2. Do I need to send my original BRP and passport to India for my family to apply

3. Do I need my bank statement or funds in my wife's Indian account are sufficient proof for maintenance

Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

1. How old are the children? Unlikely one room will be sufficient and might be considered overcrowded. Do you live in a house share with other people?

2. No, copies are fine.

3. Either name for fund maintenance.

Thanks CR001 for the reply.

Yes Its a shared accommodation and I plan to rent atleast 2 bed house.

My question is when to do that considering I will be applying around 1st March for their visa. And they will be travelling to UK on 26th May.
