Spouse visa

Post by BKM91 » Wed Mar 14, 2018 11:12 am

Hello everyone
Been following immigration boards for a while now and decided to register and post my current situation.
Iam married to a british citizen for 3 years and now are in the process of appling for my spouse visa.Together we have a 2 year old boy and he has a british passport.
My husband has a daughter with another woman and the daughter stays with her mother and will be staying with her mother while we plan to settle in the uk.
My main concern is how do we go about applying for the visa when they ask about dependant children and about my husband having children with someone else. Would this have any effect on the financial requirment? Or can it affect the outcome of my visa.
Bare in mind iam not travelling with my step daughter as she will continue to stay with her mother until her mother can allow her to visit or live with us but my 2 year old son with the british passport.
Thank you

You need to complete the questions about children honestly. If it asks about dependent children NOT applying, then you need to state it correctly.

Thank you CR001 for you help i really appreciate it.
Please dont get tired of my questions as we really want to get it right.
I have just undergone my TB screening. Does my british citizen 2 year old son need to do the TB test as well as he will be travelling with me to the uk for the very first time?

No the child does not require it as the child is not applying for a visa.
