Can I work while awaiting for my Tier 1 ENT Visa?

Post by Ajameel » Tue Feb 06, 2018 5:41 pm

Hi guys,

I recently finished my studies and applied for Tier 1 through my uni. My Tier 4 visa allowed me work full-till after I finish my terms. Do you guys know if I can work full-time while waiting for my new visa?

Any reply would be much appreciated.

Best, AJ

If you applied before your Tier 4 expiry, the conditions of your Tier 4 visa are extended under Section 3C until your Tier 1 visa is approved/rejected

Working hours on T1 Entrepreneur Visa

Post by Ajameel » Mon Mar 19, 2018 4:31 pm

Hi,

I just received my confirmation letter. But its not mentioning how many hours I am allowed to work.

I looked on like I cant find the exact timing, can someone help if they know the hours I am allowed to work?

Best,

Its business visa. You are NOT allowed to work for anyone else. You can only work for your own business.

They approved my application. I thought I am allowed to work part-time?

If your Tier 1 Ent application is approved, then your work restrictions you had on Tier 4 is no longer relevant BUT you cannot work for an employer or company. You can now ONLY work for/in your business.

There is no 'Student Tier 1 Ent visa' category name. Did you apply for the Graduate Entrepreneur visa with DIT endorsement??

What is a student T1 Entrepreneur visa ? There is no such thing. You either have a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa or a Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) visa - which is it ?

Yes I have applied for Graduate Entrepreneur visa, this one is approved. Can I work under this for another company? full-time or part-time?

Yes, under Graduate Entrepreneur visa, you can work for another company with no restrictions. You are expected to spend most of your time on your venture, but there is no definition of what that should mean in terms of hours, effort, etc.
Remember that DIT can "unendorse" you if they feel you are not working towards your own venture.
