Post by syamveerna » Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:11 am

Dear all,

Could you please assist on the below query for the British citizen for the Kid.

I had got my ILR on 02/10/2012, CITRIZENSHIP ON 21/12/2013

Baby born: 26/10/2012 (INDIA)

They (Wife/Baby) have got the (UK ENTRY CLEARANCE TYPE SPOUSE/CP VALID FROM 21/03/2013 TO 21/12/2015)and then extension through FLR (M) Valid until 31/07/2018.

Query is:) Baby born abroad and want to apply for Citizenship criteria

I am planning to apply for British citizen for my kid on the basis of

Parent/Father having the British citizen (21/12/2013)
Parent/Mother having the ILR (granted on 21/03/2018)

Could you please advise is it kid eligible for British Citizenship on the above basis.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Syam

Thank you for the reply. just want to know is it okay to call this as “registration for British citizen” rather calling as British citizenship application ?? I had read one of the thread so need your help to understand the specific terms.

And also could you please advise if I need to apply for ILR kid which application form I need to use.

Children are Registered as British Citizens.
Adults are Naturalised as British Citizens.

Set(F). Would have been much simply if you had included the child with the mothers applications.

Fees go up on 6th April.

Agreed that point I should put my kid in ILR application with my wife, however before proceeding I had enquiry my kid can register as BritishCitizen under the One parent British and One in ILR basis. so I am now in trouble.

I have another question my Kid current passport expired, so if we apply Set(F) do I need to have valid passport ?? is it I need to do extension first and then apply Set (F) ??

As I have said, you can take the risk to apply for citizenship without ILR. Some have had success, some have been refused.

For both ILR and citizenship, she needs a valid passport.

Is her visa still valid?

Hi there,

Yes Child Visa valid until 31/07/2018... and Child has been completed 5 years in UK.

I will apply for the renewal of Indian passport. Regarding register as citizen application for my child pls advise chances of approval from Home Secretary...

Thanks Vinny. Just one question child current leave to remain validity 31/07/2018. While in process of applying citizenship if we haven’t hear any news about child and if decision is not favour after 4 to 5 months then how can we extend her visa or apply for ILR ?? Assuming my child visa expired while making any application?

Please suggest your views

Thanks
