Documents received without any covering letter

Post by Andys » Wed Mar 28, 2018 3:52 pm

Hi
I received the supporting documents through Royal Mail Signed for today without any covering letter, passports or BRP.
I am not sure what does that mean and whether the application is approved or not.
I guess the only way to find out is to wait for the another correspondence or remaining documents.
Just want to get some feedback from people whose applications have been processed and if they had similar experience.
Tier 1 Extn Applied Apr 2017
Thanks

I personally would contact the HO helpline. Hopefully it is great news, but if not you don't want anytime wasted on preparing for a response (AR, reapplication etc)

One of my friend also received the partial documents by Royal mail Signed for delivery without any UKVI decision letter and called UKVI and they confirmed its common to receive documents in parts and next day he got BRP card from DX Courier and Passport and all original documents by RM Post.

Its very common now days.

Applied- Sep 2016
Interview at VFS- Feb 2017
BRP & Documents Received- March 2018

Be Patience...Hope for Good News...!!!

Typically they send back the documents only on approval. Refusal would just be a letter.
So, it is most likely that your extension has been approved. But you should know for sure in the next few days.
My comments are in no way meant to be advisory. I have no professional knowledge of immigration. These are based on my own experience, convictions and personal interpretation of publicly available information.

Further to the earlier posts, just wanted to update that I got the approval.
I received the passports and BRPs together through Royal Mail next day.

15/Jun/2017 Complex letter Issued
14/Nov/2017 MP letter to HO
Chased through call centre and MP after 30 days since Jan 2018. However I don't think it made any difference.
