PBS Dependant to ILR

Post by KG123 » Fri Mar 30, 2018 11:02 am

Hi,
I have 2 questions to ask:
1)My wife is on Tier2 PBS Dependant visa currently. She was first granted entry clearance visa in June 2013. But she came to UK on 25th July 2013. (Nearly 6 weeks after she was granted the entry clearance Visa).
Now, to apply for her ILR, 5 Year qualifying period, can we count from June 2013 or should we consider the period when she actually came to UK first time. i.e, from 25th July 2013 ?

2) Now am British Citizen (from Feb 2017). Her last Visa was extended in July 2017 under Tier 2, PBS Dependant category. Now to apply for her ILR, is the form " Set O" the correct application ?
or is that " Set M" application i should be using ?

Please advise us.
Thanks and Kind Regards
KG

Assuming your wife meets all the standard requirements (permitted absences etc), she won't have to wait for 12 months after ILR to apply for British citizenship.

Your dependant can apply from Visa Issue date. 25 June 2013. There are changes made from January 11, 2018

My understanding is that as with the newly introduced 180 day absence limit for PBS Dependants, the 5 year qualifying period from the visa issue date only applies to applications after 11 January 2018. However, I stand to be corrected if you can find anything to the contrary in the Immigration Rules.

PBS Dependents have been included to apply for ILR based on visa issue date. There have already been successes posted on the forum.

Thanks for your reply. So, it is 5 years from the Visa issue date rather than UK entry date, right ??
Please let me know where in Immigration rules, i can find about the Dependent applications from 11th Jan 2018?

Thanks once again.

Hi,

am filling online application for my wife (SetO) from Tier2 PBS dependant to ILR. Where / how to book appointment at premium service centres?
I have filled almost all the sections of the form, just need to fill Declaration section and then Payment sections of the form before I can download the entire form. So far, i cant find any link to book an appointment at premium service centres.
Where can i find the option and How to book the appointment?

Please kindly reply.

Thanks

Kind Regards

Sorry for re-posting ILR in Tier2 .

I have gone thru that website link, https://www.gov.uk/ukvi-premium-service ... ppointment
but there is nothing for Tier 2 Dependant. It says Book as a part of online application. and I can't find the link on online application too.

Please kindly reply.

Many thanks

You can complete the SET(O) form online or the paper form.

For online, she is applying for ILR not Tier 2 dependent.

What options are you given when trying to book? We don't all have log ins to check HOs various online forms/websites.
