Spouse Visa- Extension and Staying away duration

Post by bluedove » Sat Mar 31, 2018 1:50 pm

Hello,

My query is regarding my wife who after giving birth to our first baby is planning to visit Pakistan. My wife is on Spouse visa which is due to end in April 2019. She was initially been given 2 and 1/2 years Spouse visa from Pakistan. Now my wife is planning to stay in Pak for a long duration and I am confused how long she can stay? Can she stay a bit longer there may be 3 months or more?

I also need some guidance as in how to renew her Visa in April. I am working full time but that's all about it . I don't know anything about the visa process and what documents are required to renew. I have put some bills in her name but don't know anything about finances/savings etc.

If anyone knows or have experience about above then kindly help me. :|

There is no guideline regarding the restriction/allowance of absence on spouse visa which means her 3 months absence might be fine. Regarding spouse visa extension everything needed is mentioned on the form. Usually £18600 annual income, uncrowded accomodation, A2 English test, and most importantly 2 years of cohabitation documents evenly spreaded even with little gaps are needed.
