Online Application Form - Visa Extension

Post by grationhelp » Tue Apr 03, 2018 2:08 pm

Visa Questions:
I am applying for my first visa extension using the online application form, it is different from the FLR(M) form. These are some questions I do not seem sure about. I hope someone may be able to help me.

Q: Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?

Do I mention my country of birth? If yes, I need to mention the date I lived there till – would that be the date when I came to UK in 2015 although I went back on a holiday to Pakistan once in 2016 too.

Q: If you were required to leave the UK, what country would you go to? Are there any factors which would make it difficult or impossible for you to integrate and establish a private life in that country? Yes/No

If I had to leave I would go back to Pakistan, from my understanding the second question is referring to safety etc. although I am safe back home but it would be hard for me and my wife to live there as we are settled here now with jobs and child on the way. Is that a good enough response?

Q: Do you and your partner have any shared financial responsibilities?

We live my wife’s parents so we do not have any bills to pay such as, council tax, gas bills, electricity bills. We just have joint bank accounts, does that count? Shall I answer yes or no to this answer.

Q: Is this the first time you have applied for a partner route, or an extension, with your current partner (including as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner)?

It isn’t the first time applying on the partner route as I applied for entry clearance through partner route too but it is my first time making an extension. Do I answer yes or no?

Q: When did you start living together in a relationship?
We lived together for a couple of months after marriage, then my wife came to UK for work, she visited in between until I was granted my visa in august 2015. So, shall I write the date I got married as that is when we started living together.

Q:Have you lived with your partner since your marriage or civil partnership?

Would the answer to this be No, due to the reason explained above?
Q: Have you ever been refused a visa for any country, including the UK?

My first application was refused, went to appeal and was still refused.
Second application was refused but then the got overturned later, we didn’t have to go court.
What documents do I need to provide for this?

We need to show correspondences over the last 2 years, we mainly only have bank statements - joint and named separately and some doctors letters for my wife. Will these be sufficient?

Me and my wife are expecting our first child at the moment, we want to add this to our application as a contributing factor as to why I cannot go back to Pakistan. What proof do we need to provide of my wife’s pregnancy? A letter from the midwife? MAT B1 form?

Also, in the online form, they don’t seem to ask for the IHS number which is the unique number you are given after paying the NHS surcharge. Does anyone know where I include this?

Better to mention both dates prior & after visa.

Better to mention pakistan but also explain that UK is now your intended homeland due to your strong ties here now.

Better to say no but also give explanation as why.

If there is no box for yes/no then simply write 1st time spouse visa extension.

I think date of marriage

I think say yes because you lived even few months.

Q: Have you ever been refused a visa for any country, including the UK?

Reply truely.

Usually 6 joint/12 individual piececs of documents from different sources need of 2 years prior to application.
