Tier 2 Visa Resignation & Entry to UK

Post by pramosldn » Thu Apr 05, 2018 8:42 am

Hi,

I was employed under Tier 2 visa that expires 2019, however, I voluntarily resigned and left UK at my own expense last June 2017. I received a notice of curtailment last December 2017 saying my “leave to enter has been curtailed so that it nows expires on February 2, 2018”. I am currently about to be employed by a new company who gave me a COS.

I want to know how soon I can reapply for Tier 2 visa. I have evidences on my passport that I left UK June last year and have been travelling elsewhere.

Question: Can I reapply this June following the 365 days cooling off period? Or do I have to wait for my curtailment expiry date (Feb 2018) before taking any action? I hope this question is straightforward enough.

You can only apply in June, 12 months after the date you left the UK. You will likely need to submit evidence of boarding passes etc to prove you left the UK.

Thanks for the reply, that was quick.

Just to establish a clear picture, the cooling period STARTS from the day I left UK (June 2017), not the expiry date written on the notice of curtailment (Feb 2018 as quoted below). Is this correct?

"Your leave to enter has been curtailed so that it nows expires on February 2, 2018"
