Visa category Doubt

Hi all
I have a query regarding visa category. I recently got my ILR approved. I was on tier 2 general visa. My family will be eligible for ILR in oct 2018 but their current tier 2 dependent Visa is valid upto July. I have to extend their visa for 6 months.

Which visa category they will be applying:

Trier 2 dependent extension or some other category.

Granted ILR on 5 year route. I was on tier 2 general shortage occupation.

Tier 2 general dependent. It is a 3 year extension.

Thanks CR001 for your quick repose, but I only need extension for 6 month. If I go for 3 year have to pay 3 year IHS fees.

If 3 year is rule how will I sponsor them. Can I write a letter to sponsor my family stating my ILR number.

The rules state dependents will get a 3 year extension. You cannot choose a lesser time.

1. A’s they are completing 5 year in October, whether they can apply ILR in Oct or they need to wait for another 5 year?

2. For extension what documents require as I am sponsoring them can you point some link regarding documents and sponsor letter format?

I was on Tier 2 shortage occupation category

My family would be paying shortage occupation fees or normal (which is more than shortage occupation)
