28 Days before card expiring or 5 years of marriage?

Post by Jeida15 » Fri Apr 13, 2018 2:01 pm

Hi,
In Sept/18 I will be 5 years into my marriage with an European Citizen living in UK, my residency card expires on April/19, When can I apply for my PR? Should I wait for my card to expire or Can I apply earlier? We meet all the requirements my question is only about the timing of application, if you could help me with that it will be really appreciated. Thanks

There is no 28 day rule (as for some UK immigration applications) - the five years must be completed.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

It depends if you got married in the UK or abroad, your post doesn't say??

If you got married in the UK, it is 5 years from date of marriage.
