British Passport for newborn with one parent on ilr but has only indian passport

Post by jithub » Sun Apr 15, 2018 1:43 pm

Hello

I got my ILR in January this year and my daughter was born in February this year in UK. Although i have got ILR, i have to wait for a year to get my British Passport. Now am i correct in my understanding that i can apply directly for a British passport for my daughter. If yes, what are the documents I need to do so?
Also my wife's passport is with the home office as she has applied for PBS dependant extension (Do we need to send her passport as well for my daughter's passport application?).
Please note that both me and my wife are Indian Passport holders.

Regards
Jithu

You only need your ILR BRP card and your passport for the child's British passport application.
Char (CR001 not Casa)
