Question in regards to 28 days prior to 10 years completion

Post by quan1984 » Thu Apr 19, 2018 12:06 pm

Hello everyone,

Reading through guidelines. I am slightly confused with the meaning of this sentence:
"Please do not apply more than 28 days before completing the qualifying period. If you apply earlier than that, your application may be refused. If that happens, we will not refund the fee and you will have to pay again when reapplying. "

I came to UK 28/May/2008 so 28/May/2018 will be 10 years completed.

I have visa until July 2018 (tier 1)

My question is can I apply let's say 10th of May 2018 for SET LR? or I have to wait until 28th of May to be qualified? How long after 28th of May I am still qualified to apply for SET LR?

Thank you for clarification

You can apply anytime WITHIN 28 days before 28th May 2018, so 10th May is fine.
