Tier 2G to Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visas Help

Post by Dilliwalah » Mon Apr 23, 2018 1:21 pm

Hi
I have been in UK since July 2010 to March 2015 under Tier2 ICT.
I am currently on T2G from March 2015 - till date. I want to switch under Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), i am looking to apply under £50K category(funds available in personal bank account in UK and india).
Can you please tell if i am eligible to switch? if yes, can i apply for ILR under 10 year route in march 2020?

If not, please let me know my options. Guidance of any sort appreciated.

Regards

50K route is quite strict and you cannot use your personal funds. You need to get the funds either from the government body, UKTI or a VC.

Have you read the Tier 1E guide ? Start here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... trepreneur

Thanks for your response. Is there any other option other than another T2G sponsorship. My wife has a ltd company in UK can that be used as VC. In that case is the dependent time calculated for 10yr residency route?

Thanks for your support.

Read the guide. :!: A Venture Capital is not an ltd company :?
A venture capital firm must be registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

Under Tier 1E, the only option is access to 200K or more

Why do you want to switch?
Besides the 200k that Zimba mentioned there is also a genuineness test that may be difficult to get through if you are not genuine

Move is purely to protect against redundancy which is active in my current company. I am not impacted by it but want to access my option if i can move to different category. I am looking to start my own business which i am restricted by my current visa status.

I am in the UK for 8 years if i am able to switch to any dependent visa(based on my spouse getting a visa) am in still eligible in 10 year route.

Thanks for your guidance.

All visas count for 10 years ILR but you must also have abided by the rules for each visa you have held and meet the 10 years ILR requirements.
