Employment termination on switching from Dependent to Tier 2 General

Post by noveful » Tue Apr 24, 2018 7:39 pm

Dear all,

I have Tier 2 Dependent visa and am currently working. My company is ready to give me Tier 2 General.
However, they informed me that employment contract will be terminated on the moment of applying for visa and then we will re-contract again just after the visa is ready.

I'm a bit concerned about it. Could you please tell me if it's really neccesary to terminate employment contract while I'm applying for Tier 2 General?

Thanks all in advance.

No it is not necessary to 'terminate contract'. BUT, the employer MUST have met the RLMT requirements before they can sponsor you.

Thanks for response. It's really crucial for me.
And yes, market test is almost finished.
